Your privacy is important to us. We provide this notice to you to explain what information we collect about you, how we collect it, the business purpose for our collection, what information is disclosed to other parties and the business purpose for such disclosure, our retention policy, and the choices you can make about your information.

This notice (this “Privacy Policy”) applies to Personal Information collected by ChassisFinder from users of our Site (further defined below) and related online and offline services. Our Site contains links to other websites operated by third parties, including PayPal and the providers of the equipment to rent or lease on ChassisFinder. ChassisFinder is not responsible for the online information practices or policies of such third-party websites, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third parties before connecting to or using their services to learn more about their information and privacy practices.

  1. Definitions

    The following capitalized terms as used in this Privacy Policy are defined as follows.

    "Chassis Finder", "us", "our" or "we" means Chassis Finder, LLC.

    "Equipment" means the chassis or other equipment available for rent from our Site.

    "Guest" means an individual who searches and reserves Equipment on our Site without being a User.

    "Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household. “Personal information” does not include: (i) publicly available information or lawfully obtained, truthful information that is a matter of public concern; or (ii) information that is deidentified or aggregate consumer information.

    "Sensitive Personal Information" means Personal Information that reveals information such as: (a) social security, driver’s license, state identification card, or passport number; (b) account log-in, financial account, debit card, or credit card number in combination with any required security or access code, password, or credentials allowing access to an account; (c) precise geolocation; (d) racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, or union membership; (e) the contents of a consumer’s mail, email, and text messages unless we are the intended recipient of the communication; and (f) genetic data. Sensitive Personal Information includes the processing of biometric information for the purpose of uniquely identifying a consumer, Personal Information collected and analyzed concerning a consumer’s health and Personal Information collected and analyzed concerning a consumer’s sex life or sexual orientation. Sensitive Personal Information that is publicly available is not considered Sensitive Personal Information or Personal Information.

    "Session Data" means IP addresses, usage information, such as the type of Internet browser and operating system an individual uses, the domain name of the site from which the individual came, the date, time and duration of the individual’s visit, the number of visits to our Site, the pages viewed and the number of cookies accumulated, and, in the case of the ChassisFinder mobile site and applications, also means the unique identifier of an individual’s mobile device, the type of mobile device the individual uses and the application version.

    "Site" means the www.ChassisFinder.com site, the m.ChassisFinder.com mobile site or the ChassisFinder mobile applications and their respective sub sites together with the respective content, Equipment available from these sites/applications or sub sites.

    "User" means an individual who has registered on the Site.

    "User ID" means the e-mail address or username Users use (with their password) to log into our Site.

  2. Personal Information We Collect About You and Its Business Purpose.

    When you are just visiting, you can visit certain areas of our Site without revealing who you are or logging into our Site. The list below outlines the categories of information about you that we collect, where we obtain that information and how we use such information.

    A. Session Data

    When you visit our Site as a Guest or User, we collect Session Data through cookies and pixel tags. We use Session Data, collected through cookies and pixel tags, to better understand how our Site is navigated, how many visitors arrive at specific pages, the length and frequency of stays at our Site, the variety of searches of our Site’s database, the types of browsers and computer operating systems used by our visitors and the Internet Protocol addresses from which visitors connect to our Site. We also use this information to improve our Site’s content and ease of use, to personalize and improve your individual viewing experiences on our Site and provide information that may be of interest to you. We obtain this information from the following sources: you, analytics providers, cookies and tracking technologies, our affiliates.

    Additionally, when you visit a third party site on which we advertise and click through our advertisement, we may place cookies on your computer or use pixel tags.

    We collect IP addresses of devices accessing our services in our server logs, as well as information like internet domains, the date and time of a visit, and the pages accessed on the Site. If applicable, we store this information as a verification of your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Equipment rental and leasing agreements and verification of online payments. This information is also used for diagnostic and analytic purposes in order to improve the services we provide.

    B. Geolocation Data

    When using the ChassisFinder mobile site or applications, you may search for Equipment in the area in which you are located. If you choose to do so, depending on the mobile device or application you are using and mobile device settings, we may collect your geo-location information to search for the applicable Equipment or to personalize and improve your individual viewing experiences on our Site and provide information that may be of interest to you. You may at any time disable our collection and use of your location information by turning location services off at the device level. We collect this information from you and your mobile device.

    C. Contact and User Registration Information

    When you register with us as a User, we collect Personal Information that is necessary to provide Equipment. You must provide your name, phone number and e-mail address. You also must choose a User ID and password, which will be required to gain access to portions of our Site reserved for User use. We might also request your zip code or time zone. We collect and store names, email addresses and phone numbers when you provide your information on this Site to subscribe to our newsletters, request a brochure or email us. We use this contact and User registration information to create your account, to communicate with you about Equipment rental and leasing agreements and to facilitate online payments. We may use your contact information to notify you of new features or products or to provide you marketing communications about our new products and services as well as third-party products and services that we think may be of interest to you. We also use that information to the extent necessary to enforce the Terms of Use of our Site and to prevent imminent harm to persons or property.

    If you choose to use our E-mail Your Booking Confirmation feature, we will send the individual(s) you identify an e-mail with the applicable information. We store the name and e-mail address of such individuals for your use in future bookings. We will send your booking confirmation that may contain your name and email address to the applicable depot or other service provider where delivery of the Equipment will take place.

    When we send e-mails or e-newsletters, we may insert a pixel tag in the e-mail. We use pixel tags to monitor the open rate of our communications. This helps us understand the effectiveness of communications we send. We do not use this information for any other purpose.

    If you use a “tell-a-friend” tool (or similar feature) that allows you to send information to another person, we will send that person an e-mail containing the applicable information. We do not permanently store the name or e-mail address of such individuals.

    D. Financial and Transactional Information

    The applicable Equipment provider may approve you for payment directly to the Equipment provider or otherwise, you must prepay through PayPal. When you reserve Equipment as a User and make a payment via PayPal, all credit card information is currently handled by and stored on the servers of PayPal. Therefore, you are also bound by the terms and conditions of PayPal. We also collect information regarding products and services your purchase.

    E. Research or Survey Information.

    From time to time, we may invite you to participate in a survey or a focus group. You are free to participate or not. We will collect the responses you provide and will make them anonymous by aggregating them with those of other participants. When you participate in surveys or focus groups, your participation and responses will be kept confidential and will not be shared with third parties without your permission, except with our service providers.

    F. Other Information You Provide.

    If you use a bulletin board, blog or chat room on our Site, you should be aware that any Personal Information you submit there can be read, collected or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the Personal Information you choose to submit in these forums. If you wish to request the removal of your Personal Information from our blog, you can do so by contacting us as indicated in the Contact Information section below. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your Personal Information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why. We also collect voicemails and emails that we receive to have a record of our communications.

    G. Customer Service Information.

    When you call or submit a request for help or feedback, we collect contact information, including, for example, name, phone number, e-mail or mailing address, and information about the relevant reservation as necessary to assist you. For example, if you call for assistance with a pre-existing reservation or to reserve Equipment, we may request your name and contact information.

    H. Other Business Purposes.

    We use Personal Information in order to provide and enhance your experience on the Site and the offerings on the Site. This includes:

    • i. To record your booking preferences, make reservations or to communicate with you about your chassis and other equipment needs;
    • ii. To issue invoices and administer accounts;
    • iii. To provide tips or guidance on how to use our Site, inform you of new features on our Site or provide other information that may be of interest to users;
    • iv. To personalize the service we provide to you, tailor your experience at our Site to your interests and make more appropriate chassis and other equipment recommendations;
    • v. To send you e-mails, e-newsletters, personalized offers via direct messaging or other communications about our services, if you have subscribed to receive this information or you have not advised us that you do not wish to receive such communications;
    • vi. To manage our Site, diagnose technical problems, improve content and allocate the resources of our systems so that your experience with our Site is as efficient as possible;
    • vii. To process and track your transactions and to send you information about our products and services and other information and materials that may be of interest to you;
    • viii. To develop, enhance, market, sell or provide Equipment, but only if you have granted us permission to do so or we are otherwise able to do so under applicable law;
    • ix. To investigate, detect and protect ChassisFinder and other third parties against error, negligence, breach of contract, fraud, theft and other illegal activities;
    • x. To effect a corporate transaction in connection with the sale, merger, spin-off or other corporate reorganization of our corporation, where the information is provided to the new controlling entity in regular course of business;
    • xi. To audit compliance with our policies and contractual obligations;
    • xii. As permitted by, and to comply with, any legal or regulatory requirements or provisions; or
    • xiii. For any other purpose to which you consent.

This software may record information such as your IP address, location, age and gender, browser type and language, operating system, access time, duration of visit, pages you view within our website, search terms you enter and other actions you take while visiting us, the pages you view immediately before and after you access the services, how often you use our Services, aggregated usage and performance data, app errors and debugging information. Google Analytics is owned and controlled by Google LLC. Data collected by Google is subject to its privacy policy. Finally, we may transfer Personal Information in connection with a corporate transaction, like a merger, investment, acquisition, reorganization, consolidation, bankruptcy, liquidation or sale of some or all of our asset or in connection with the Equipment you have leased or rented on the Site.

    We only use Sensitive Personal Information disclosed above for purposes disclosed herein.

    As noted herein, we may compile Site usage statistics from data collected through cookies. We may publish those statistics or share them with third parties, but they don’t include Personal Information. We may use third-party services to help us provide and improve our service.

  5. How We Retain and Store Personal Information

    A. My Leases and My Account.

    If you are a User, we store your Personal Information in My Leases and My Account. You can access My Leases and My Account from the home page of our Site, after logging onto our Site. My Leases contains information about your current, canceled or past leases. My Account contains your name, e-mail address, e-mail and password settings, and location from which you normally book. It may also contain other information so that you do not need to re-enter it each time you reserve a Product or Service. For example, You can access, modify or close your account under Settings on the Home page.

    B. Third Parties’ Personal Information.

    We will retain in your My Account, the Personal Information of individuals for whom have made reservations on the User’s or Guest’s behalf or to whom we have sent ChassisFinder Notifications on behalf of the User or Guest.

    C. Retention Policy.

    We will retain each category of your Personal Information identified above for an amount of time that is reasonably necessary for us to use the information for the purposes disclosed herein and for any other permitted purposes, including retention of Personal Information pursuant to any applicable contract, law or regulation and our record retention policy.

  6. Your Choices and Rights

    We endeavor to ensure that Personal Information is as accurate, complete and current as necessary for the purposes for which we use that information. We encourage you to visit Settings to review your Personal Information. You can access your Personal Information in My Account and update it or delete inaccuracies, as necessary. For example, you can change at any time your e-mail address or your preferences.

    If you wish to modify your Personal Information or close your account, you can do so by contacting us as indicated in Help/Feedback section We will respond to such requests to information access within 30 days following receipt of your email. If you request that we close your account, we will promptly do so, to the extent possible. Once your account is closed, however, you will not be able to use many of the services available on our Site to Users, unless you re-register. If you close your ChassisFinder account, your other associated accounts will remain open, such as PayPal or that of the actual Equipment provider; you must contact them in order to cancel those specific accounts. Under certain circumstances we may not remove or be able to remove certain information. Any retained information will continue to be subject to the terms of the Privacy Policy.

  7. Monitoring

    ChassisFinder may from time to time monitor and review any information transmitted or received through our Site, or through telephone or e-mail communications, for quality assurance and other purposes. We reserve the right to censor, edit, remove or prohibit the transmission or receipt of any information that ChassisFinder deems inappropriate or in violation of our Terms and Conditions. During monitoring the information may be examined, recorded or copied.

  8. Third-Party Links

    When you click on a third party’s link from our Site, or from an ad, you will be entering that third party’s site, over which we have no control. We are not responsible for third party sites. You should carefully review the privacy statements of any other sites you visit, because those privacy statements will apply to your visit to such other sites and may be very different from this Privacy Policy.

  9. Protection of Personal Information

    We employ the following data security tools to protect Personal Information:

    • In certain areas of the Site, ChassisFinder uses or may use industry standard SSL and TLS encryption to enhance the security of data transmissions.
    • Account information is password protected.
    • We review our information collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against unauthorized access to systems.
    • We restrict access to Personal Information to select ChassisFinder employees and third-party contractors who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

    Unfortunately, even with these measures, we cannot guarantee the security of Personal Information. By using our Site, you acknowledge and agree that we make no such guarantee, and that you use our Site at your own risk.

  10. Your Rights Under California Law (For California Residents)

    • Right to Know Personal Information Collected About You: You have the right to know: (1) the categories of Personal Information we have collected about you; (2) the categories of sources from which the Personal Information is collected; (3) the business or commercial purpose for collecting Personal Information; (4) the categories of third parties to whom we disclose Personal Information; and (5) the specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you.     • Right to Know Personal Information Disclosed and to Whom. Since we disclose your Personal Information, as described above, you have the right to request that we disclose to you: (1) the categories of Personal Information that we collected about you; and (2) the categories of Personal Information that we disclosed about you for a business purpose and the categories of persons to whom it was disclosed for a business purpose.     • Right to Request Deletion of Your Personal Information: You have the right to request that we delete your Personal Information. Following receipt of a request, we will let you know what, if any, Personal Information we can delete from our records. If we cannot delete all of your Personal Information, we will let you know the reason. You may submit a request by calling us at 1-800-644-1604 or emailing us at help@chassisfinder.com.
    • Right to Correct Inaccurate Information: If you believe that any of the Personal Information we maintain about you is inaccurate, you have the right to submit a request for us to correct that information. Upon receipt of a request, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the information as you direct. You may submit a request by calling us at 1-800-644-1604 or emailing us at help@chassisfinder.com.
    • Right to Opt-Out of the Sale and Sharing of Your Personal Information. As noted above, we do not sell or share your Personal Information. As such, this right does not apply to you.
    • Right to Limit the Use of Your Sensitive Personal Information. We only use your Sensitive Personal Information for services on our behalf and for security purposes. As such, this right does not apply to you.
    • Right to Non-Discrimination for Exercising Your Rights. If you choose to exercise any of your rights, you have the right to not receive discriminatory treatment by us.

    When you make a request to know, delete and/or correct, to help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity. Our verification procedure may differ depending on whether you have an account with us or not and the request you are making. The following generally describes the verification processes we use:

    • Password Protected Accounts. If you have a password-protected account with us, we may use existing authentication practices to verify your identity but will require re-authentication before disclosing, correcting or deleting data. If we suspect fraudulent or malicious activity relating to your account, we will require further verification (as described below) before complying with a request to know or delete.
    • Verification for Non-Accountholders. If you do not have, or cannot access, a password-protected account with us, we will generally verify your identity as follows:
      • For requests to know categories of Personal Information, we will verify your identity to a reasonable degree of certainty by matching at least two data points provided by you with reliable data points maintained by us.
      • For requests to know specific pieces of Personal Information, we will verify your identity to a reasonably high degree of certainty by matching at least three data points provided by you with reliable data points maintained by us. We will also require a declaration, signed under penalty of perjury, that the person requesting the information is the person whose information is the subject of the request or that person’s authorized representative. We will maintain all signed declarations as part of our records.
      • For requests to correct or delete Personal Information, we will verify your identity to a reasonable degree or a reasonably high degree of certainty depending on the sensitivity of the Personal Information and the risk of harm posed by unauthorized deletion. We will act in good faith when determining the appropriate standard to apply.

    If there is no reasonable method by which we can verify your identity, we will state so in response to a request to know or delete Personal Information, including an explanation of why we have no reasonable method to verify your identity.

    If you use an authorized agent to submit a request to know, delete or correct, we may require the authorized agent to provide proof that you gave the agent signed permission to submit the request. We may also require you to do either of the following: (a) verify your own identity directly with us; or (b) directly confirm with us that you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request. This requirement does not apply if you have provided the authorized agent with power of attorney pursuant to Probate Code sections 4121 to 4130.

    We will respond to requests to know, requests to delete and / or delete no later than 45 calendar days. If we cannot verify your request within 45 days, we may deny your request. If necessary, we may take up to an additional 45 days to respond to your request but in such an event will provide you a notice and an explanation of the reason that we will take more than 45 days to respond to your request.

  11. Your Nevada Privacy Rights (For Nevada Residents).

  12. Accessing and Correcting Your Personal Information

    You may request to correct, review or delete any of your Personal Information held by ChassisFinder by contacting us directly at help@chassisfinder.com. Under certain circumstances we may not remove or be able to remove certain information. Any retained information will continue to be subject to the terms of the Privacy Policy.

  13. Amendment of This Privacy Policy

    We may change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a new version on this page or on a successor page. The new version will become effective on the date it’s posted, which will be listed at the top of the page as the new Effective Date.
